Product Description
Surge arresters limit dangerous over-voltages caused by lightning strikes and switching operations. Under normal voltage the zinc-oxide blocks are almost non-conductive; during a surge they conduct and divert the energy safely to earth.
The polymer housing is light, explosion-safe and performs well in polluted and humid areas. Typical uses are on distribution transformers, cable terminations, switchgear and along overhead lines.
