Product Description
Stay insulators, also called guy-strain or egg insulators, are fitted in the stay wire of a pole so that, if a live conductor touches the stay, the lower part of the wire stays dead and safe for people and animals.
The ANSI 54-1 size is the common low-voltage version: the two cross holes let the stay wire loop through so the porcelain is loaded in compression, which gives high strength in a small body.
