Product Description
Afghanistan has large deposits of bituminous coal in its northern coal belt, mined in Samangan (Dara-e-Suf), Baghlan (Pul-e-Khumri / Karkar), Bamyan and Sar-e-Pul. Afghan coal is known for its high calorific value and low sulphur content, which makes it suitable for cement plants, power stations, brick kilns and other industries.
Coal is delivered in bulk by truck to border crossings and buyers in the region (for example via Torkham and Spin Boldak to Pakistan). Every shipment can be supplied with an independent laboratory analysis.
Typical specification
The values below are typical for Afghan bituminous coal; the exact figures of each lot are confirmed by laboratory analysis before shipment.
